I just realized I have never put together a list of who I follow and read when it comes to Local SEO. I have to say that a lot of what I know about local SEO has to do with these people and their blogs. If it wasn’t for them openly sharing their local SEO gems a lot of small businesses and local SEO’ers would be lost. The local SEO’er community is so giving, supportive & passionate about what they do!
I just wanted to take a moment to give a shout out and personally thank them for being such great contributors to local search marketing. I highly recommend you subscribe to each of their RSS Feeds and follow them on your favorite social like: Twitter, LinkedIN, YouTube or Facebook because they are brilliant when it comes to local SEO.
This list of Local SEO’ers is in no particular order and if you think I forgot to mention someone who is a local SEO’er genius (like the group below) be sure to add them to the list by adding your comments below.

Many thanks for the kind inclusion on your very excellent list! One of the nicest things about Local is the people involved in the industry, for sure.
Geez, thanks! I’m glad to see you included yourself on the list. It’s amazing that we have such a great group of cooperative competitors in Local Search. Everyone benefits!
Mary, Thanks for stopping by. I’m a real fan!
Thanks a ton Matthew. Great list minus that Mike Ramsey guy. What a weirdo….
Thanks for including me Matt. Honoured to be included with these local SEO super stars.
I think it may be time for an update: Linda Buquet & Chris Piepho
Yeah Darren, you right. I might do a new updated list in 2012. In the meantime, I’ll add them to the list for sure.
Thanks!
Wow, thanks Matthew for adding me to your list! And thanks to Darren too for suggesting me!
My link is broken tho and does not work. Plus it goes to G+ and I don’t post there very much. Would you mind changing to my blog link?
Thanks again so much!
NP – Linda. Consider it done.
Matthew, I’m a newb in the group, just joined today! This is an incredible list of who’s who with Internet Marketing, there are so many “Guru’s” these days, that it’s hard to keep up. But I have enjoyed Mike Blumenthal’s GP Category script and regularly follow Andrew Shotland’s “localseoguide”. Make It A Great Day!
Great list of local search experts, Matthew!
Great post with local SEOs. Some of them I’m already following, but other I don’t think I will because they haven’t posted anything yet. If they are not posting any publicly, then what are they really doing on G+. Now, a shameless plug to follow me as well because I’m SR level SEO that has been doing optimization for 15 years now so you can do worst by following me.
Matt:
Great list! I’d like to give a shout out to my friend, Phil Rozek of Local Visibility System: http://www.localvisibilitysystem.com/ He’s a great guy and an honest and ethical marketer.
And although I’ve only been doing local SEO for a little over a year, I’ve been doing SEO since 2006. If someone wants to work with someone locally in Minneapolis, MN, I’d be more than happy to help!
