Google’s LBC is finally integrating some analytics to their dashboard. I always hated that you can’t track the data on these free local listings. I know a ton of people can find businesses this way, but they may never click through to your actual website thus leaving you no data except that you had a visit.
Here’s what to expect from the new LBC dashboard: (Just pause the video at 51 seconds and you’ll see some of the cool features).
- Impressions will tell users how many times the business listing appeared as a result in a search of Google.com search or Google Maps during a given period.
- Actions will show the number of times searchers interacted with a listing. One example is the number of driving directions requests.
- Top search queries shows which keywords drove searchers to a business listing.
- Zip codes will be listed to show where driving directions were requested from.
Some brilliant data, that should help business better optimize their listings and web properties.
