Google has redesigned its local ad formats for Google Maps for Mobile. The company says the new formats have performed well in tests, increasing click-through rates by 100%.
If you run Adwords campaigns for yourself, you can test this if you run your campaigns separately. Here at SBOC, we always run mobile PPC Ads in separate campaigns. Typically we see higher CTR’s then on Desktop campaigns and even often higher conversions. Usually calls are more common, then webform leads to on mobile, so be sure to have call tracking set-up.
Also make sure you have a mobile friendly site, which list the most important information about your business:
- Phone (make sure can click to call)
- Address (locations)
- Hours of operation
The best thing we find about mobile Ads is the cost per click is soooooo much less then on a desktop campaigns.
